The 100,000 Metre T-Shirt Ride

“The Ledge And Beyond”

Jun 11, 2016

Saturday Jun 11 is your opportunity to enjoy one of the best rides in Michigan when the Tri-County Bicycle Association’s (TCBA) 37th Annual T-Shirt Ride returns to Grand Ledge, MI. The 2016 T-Shirt Ride is one you don’t want to miss.

The 2016 T-Shirt ride begins at the Grand Ledge High School (GLHS). This year’s event will include a 5K (~3 miles) “in-town” route option for families and/or riders who are not quite ready for the longer rides. Other riders will have choices of the traditional route distances of 25K (~17 miles), 50K (~34 miles), 100K (~65 miles), and a 45K (~30 miles) gravel road loop with a new Tough Biker trail loop option. Don’t forget to bring a mountain bike or cross bike if you elect to ride the gravel. A mountain bike is recommended for the challenging 1-mile off-road optional Tough Biker loop. All routes start together and split off at different mileage points to form its particular loop. Routes use rural western Eaton County roads. Riders who choose the 100K or the 45K gravel road ride will also venture into eastern Barry and southern Ionia and Clinton Counties. Riders on the 100K route will pass through Vermontville, Woodland and Lake Odessa.

Of course, along with all this exercise comes lots of great food. Lunch will be served at the school for riders of the 25K, 50K, 100K routes, 45K gravel road route, and those riders of the 5K “in-town” route who have paid as a regular registrant. All routes will pass through at least one rest stop with volunteers serving assorted fruits, freshly baked cookies, and beverages.

A new collectable 2016 “The Ledge and Beyond” T-Shirt Ride shirt is available to order when you pre-register by May 9th.
